The governance and intelligence layer for capital project delivery

Govern the project before it exists.

Know whether your capital project is ready, where it is heading, and what to do next.

FSA connects engineering, cost, schedule, procurement, risk and ERP into one governed project model, from tender and definition through engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.FSA connects engineering, cost, schedule, risk and ERP into one governed project model.

17M+ schedule activities · 3,200 schedules · benchmark dataset

01 · Why now

Every system holds its own version of the project.

Capital projects have more systems and more data than ever. The problem is no longer access to data. It is that none of it agrees on what the project is.

02 · Ontology

The problemJoining the systems by hand takes months, and it is out of date the day it is done.

One governed model of the project.

FSA connects the systems you already use through one ontology: activities, costs, equipment, documents, packages, decisions and risks in a common project structure.

Facts are evidenced. Engineering is computed. History is learned. AI explains. Nothing is guessed.
03 · Governance

The problemThe work breakdown structure is treated as a coding exercise.

WBS as the control system.

The project structure is the spine that connects engineering, cost, schedule, procurement, contracts, construction and commissioning. Owner and contractor coding live in the same governed structure.

04 · Definition twin

The problemNobody can say how well defined the project really is.

Solid where it is proven. Ghost where it is assumed.

FSA shows how well each part of the project is actually defined, what evidence supports it, and what remains before the next maturity threshold, mapped against relevant AACE recommended practices.

05 · Deterministic engineering

The problemOne late change takes weeks to work through the estimate.

Change once. Recalculate everything. Prove every number.

Engineering is computed, not generated. Change one input and every affected calculation, estimate and report updates, with the consequence shown in cost, schedule, procurement and risk.

06 · Execution

The problemThe plan says the work can start. The field discovers it cannot.

Know what is ready before work starts.

Engineering, materials, contracts, access, predecessors, labour and approvals are resolved against the same project structure. FSA shows what is holding a workfront back before the constraint reaches site.

07 · Benchmark intelligence

The problemEvery plan is built on someone’s optimism.

Every project makes the next one smarter.

FSA’s benchmark dataset spans 17M+ schedule activities across 3,200 schedules, providing historical context for the activities in your plan. What each of your projects learns stays in your governed model and carries into the next.

08 · Forensic replay In development

The problemWhen it goes wrong, nobody can prove what was known when.

Rewind to any date.

Reconstruct what the project knew, what it assumed, what changed and what had been approved on any date. The project becomes queryable through time.

09 · Any asset

The problemEvery new kind of project means starting again.

One governed model. Any capital asset.

FSA is built around how complex capital projects work, not around one commodity. The same governed structure applies across mining, oil and gas, offshore, power, process plants, infrastructure, modular construction, shipbuilding and data centres.

What each project learns returns to the next project’s definition

01 · Govern

WBS as the control system

Project structure is not administration. It is the control system. One work breakdown structure carries owner and contractor coding, built around the contracting strategy. Scope boundaries, package interfaces and dependencies are governed through the same structure.

02 · Control

Test the plan before the project tests it.

A CPM schedule can calculate perfectly and still be wrong. FSA checks its health, logic, float and critical and driving paths against the baseline, then optimises across scheduling and planning, so weak logic is found before it reaches the forecast.

03 · Optimise

From reporting the project to predicting its outcome.

Where time and cost are heading, and which intervention changes the result. Test the intervention before committing to it.

Capital project engineering · business case

A governed engineering model instead of disconnected engineering files.

On a US$0.5–1.0B capital project, FSA addresses US$3.8M a year of engineering and project-controls effort, or US$1.9M on conservative assumptions.

Reconciliation

Design basis, mass balance, equipment lists, load lists and BOQ are kept in step by hand across separate tools.

Recalculation and change

Calculations are repeated after every input change, and each change is assessed discipline by discipline.

Reporting and updates

Engineering status, readiness, estimate and BOQ updates are rebuilt each cycle, often from inputs that are already stale.

Not included: less design-caused construction rework, shorter estimate and decision cycles, and lighter independent review.

Integrations and trust

FSA works with the systems the project already uses.

Existing systems stay
FSA sits above and between existing project systems. It has demonstrated integration with SAP S/4HANA and ingests Primavera P6 schedules, estimates, engineering data, drawings and test reports.
Built to hold client project data
Hosted on Microsoft Azure, with role and project-level access and encryption in transit and at rest. Client project data is not used to train shared models.
Proof of concept

One project. Existing project data. Agreed success measures. 30 to 40 working days.

FSA engineers deploy alongside your project team, using your existing project data to prove measurable value before wider rollout. Start proving value within days, not months.

  1. Select a live project.
  2. Agree measurable outcomes.
  3. Connect or ingest existing project data.
  4. Configure only the FSA capabilities that matter.
  5. Measure the result.
  6. Decide the enterprise deployment case.
